Every Monday for over 10 years I’ve asked, “Have you done your homework?” A question that has turned out to be a powerful tool.
People who get what why to want in life have a good habit. They review their progress and state of happiness. If things are not going well – you can make small adjustments before 10 years of un-happiness passes.
A significant benefit of this process is the boost in your motivation and inspiration. That always happens when you see how far you have come.
How do you do it?
1) Slip away to a quiet place for at least 5 minutes.
2) Ask yourself, “How is my life going?” Be sure to include every area of importance. Don’t linger. Check-in with yourself and move on.
3) Make a note of any areas that are not to your satisfaction, commit to making adjustments, and get to work.
Do your homework every few days, and you’ll spot where your momentum is slowing. A quick adjustment and you’ll be right back on track.
