I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “It’s not WHAT you know, it’s WHO you.”
Collecting connections by networking and meeting people is something everybody does. Most are hoping that someday, maybe, hopefully, those connections will lead to success.
Maybe. Maybe not.
Most connections only lead to a desk full of business cards from people you don’t remember. If you want a more immediate return on any contact, you need to ask one question –
“Will having a relationship with this person move me forward and closer to my goals?”
Focus your time and attention on people who will allow to you answer YES. You’ll release yourself of a lot of frustration and succeed faster.
